What a great year for local music! Leon Bridges and Maren Morris nominated yesterday for GRAMMY awards on the national stage and the Dallas Observer helping keep the scene strong locally with their 28th annual music awards.

Last night, The Bomb Factory in Deep Ellum played host to the awards ceremony, and although the room is huge, the vibe throughout was tight-knit, loving and gracious. Musicians, radio folks, promoters, managers, friends and family; the support for each performer, speech-giver and award-winner was incredible. It seems like Dallas is beginning to really turn the corner into a more vibrant, sustainable music community.

We are truly humbled by this award and cannot wait to see what 2017 will yield for our scene. Congratulations to all of this year’s winners and keep up the hard work!

Cheers! -Dustin Blocker (Founder, Hand Drawn Records)
