Robert Cody Maxwell & the Gentlemen Vain (Dallas, TX)
The Gentlemen Vain consists of Daniel Villanueva, Robert Cody Maxwell, Clemente Gomez and David Snawder. Robert Cody Maxwell is the lead singer. Maxwell said, “My backing band is ‘The Gentlemen Vain’ in reference to Dutch Vanitas artwork [still-life] and the temporal nature of earthly life, and it is a reflection of our own focus artistically on the fragile nature of our lives and our relationship to our world.” The band’s style is described as Americana or indie-folk music, with vocal harmony-centric arrangements in the style of The Avett Brothers and Jackson Browne.
WhiskeySour (Garland, TX)
Created in early 2015, WhiskeySour was formed by two brothers, Paul Wade McDonald and Tim McDonald, and their good friend, vocalist Joe Radoszewski. Featured performers on “Hand Drawn Records. A Compilation. Volume 4.” and at Hand Drawn’s 2015 Unofficial SXSW Showcase, WhiskeySour have been gaining huge popularity as an upbeat live act, bent on bringing the party to their quickly growing fanbase.
